April KyOSS: Cryptographically Signing a Linux Kernel Module

Short title for calendar grid: KyOSS
Date: Wednesday, Apr 10, 2019
Time: 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Location: TEK Systems, first-floor conference room, 700 N.Hurstbourne Pkwy. (Steel Technologies Bldg.)

Cryptography, digital signatures, and Linux kernel modules. All this and Python too! Special bonus: Report from SUSECon!

Jeff Squyres (our resident Cisco engineer) will be walking us through how to go about cryptographically signing a Linux kernel module. And he'll show and explain some python programs he's written to help with the task.

And Liang Yuan (our resident SUSE engineer), fresh back from this year's SUSECon in Nashville, will give us the run-down on what he saw while he was there.

All that, plus our usual miscellaneous banter on how to save the world via Open Source. Come and join us!
