The ongoing discussion going on about how to organize an open source
project reminded me of the Collective Code Construction Contract (C4.1). I
heard about this on an episode of Mostly Erlang:

http://mostlyerlang.com/2014/04/22/034-community-with-pieter-hinjens/

The actual contract is at:

http://rfc.zeromq.org/spec:22

It sounds like a novel way to organize an open source project by making
it asynchronous and decentralized. The process is used by ZeroMQ, and
the ZeroMQ guy explains it really well in the podcast.
